the magic is back
I saw Santa this week and I cried. I got all teary eyed because the magic of the season is back in my life. I can't wait to have J's first visit with Santa soon. I can't wait to see her reaction on Christmas morning. I can't wait for the years to come when she is up at the butt crack of dawn.Wait.
That is now.
Rather, up at the crack of dawn to open gifts that Santa has left under the tree.
But I will institute the rule my parents had - you cannot get mom and dad up before the coffee is made. Yes, at the ripe old age of 4, I knew how to make coffee.

I have to admit- I am really excited for Christmas this year, too! I've always loved Xmas but this year, I feel the season more than usual and the "bah humbugs" are nowhere in sight!!
Wait till you have a four year old! it gets really cool then. Old enough to get whats going on, but not old enough to know that the present they saw mom and dad buy is the same one santa gave them. You never realise how many places have christmas lights untill you have ridden in a car at night with a very young child.
